Raised Face Weld Neck Flange Appearance
The main body of the raised face weld neck flange is a circular disc with a central hole through which the pipe passes. This disc is often thicker at the center to provide strength.
The neck of the raised face weld neck extends from the circular disc and is usually cylindrical in shape. This neck is welded to the pipe, providing a strong connection.
Around the bore of the weld neck raised face, there is a raised portion that protrudes slightly above the rest of the flange surface. This raised face provides a flat, smooth sealing surface when the flange is bolted to a corresponding flange or matching component.
There are bolt holes around the perimeter of the raised neck flange, evenly spaced, through which bolts are used to fasten the flange to the matching component.
